Definitions
  • Book Count: The number of books used for whatever calculations preceded
  • ER: Expected return based on ML Prob and Max ML.
  • EV ($100): Expected value of a $100 bet at the max line offered. Also works as expected percentage return. Uses ML Prob and Max ML.
  • Game Count: The number of games going into a bookmaker's Unique %. Game must have >4 books with MLs to be considered.
  • Kelly Size: The percentage of one's bankroll Kelly Criterion determines.
  • Kelly Winnings: P&L from a bet amount based on the percentage of one's bankroll Kelly Criterion determines.
  • Max Book: The book offering the preceding max
  • Max ML: The max moneyline offered with vig
  • ML: Average no-vig moneyline
  • ML Prob: The average implied probability without vig that the moneyline hits
  • Price: Among the books with the modal spread, the average price without vig
  • Spread: The modal spread among the books
  • Spread Prob: Among the books with the modal spread, the average implied probability without vig that the spread hits
  • Unique %: Percentage of the time a book offers a moneyline offered by no other book.
